Pre-Paint Clean

BEST Waterblasters provides a pre-paint clean to prepare your house for subsequent sanding and painting. We provide this service for a number of painters all over Auckland and help to save them time and money.

If you’re planning to paint around the property, a pre-paint clean will remove dirt and grime so that sanding doesn’t rework it into the surface.

Roof Cleaning

It is important to clean your roof, as it can be damaged if fungi takes hold. There are 2 types of clean -

1 - Moss & mould roof treatment - Lichen has spores that eats into the tiles and paint it is attached to, like weeds its roots need to be removed so it does not grow back. A moss spray clean may take 6-10 months to safely kill bacteria and spores. The moss and lichen then washes off in the rain and the treatment continues to provide a progressive clean for up to 12 months. We would recommend this type of clean 9/10 times as it is the most effective clean over time as it reduces the risk of water under the tiles, resulting in longterm damage to the property.

2 - Pressure washing - This may be the appropriate option in certain circumstances e.g. before a re-paint. Talk to us and we can give our on-site recommendations.

Paths and Driveways

We can restore concrete and brick pathways and driveways, cobblestones, paving stones, and asphalt to near new condition. Furthermore, the cleaning chemical continues to bring grease and carbon product to the surface for a further 10 months so that it can be readily washed off.

Don’t be alarmed if moulds turn black before they die. This is a naturally occurring process and it will fade within 3-4 days leaving a clean, clear surface.

 Decks

Our decks become stained, not just from wood oxidization, but through carbon monoxide borne in the very air that we breathe. BEST Waterblasters can restore all types of wooden decks to their original colour or similar.

By using a cleaner with low pressure, we avoid splintering and damage to your deck.
To protect the wood, our “Whirl Away” machines distribute the water pressure. If you are looking to remove a coloured stain on your deck, or an unwanted finish that may be deteriorating, we can efficiently strip off the finish so that you may apply another.
